Most exterior detail problems get caught on site, which is the most expensive place to catch them. If you are specifying fiber cement over an unusual substrate, or a window that has to hit a particular sightline and a particular U-factor, we would rather talk about it while it is still on the sheet.

Do we have to use you as the contractor?

No. Specification support is available whether or not we are on the project.

Which manufacturers can you supply?

Aluminium and aluminium-clad systems from Doorwin, where we source direct — full NFRC data, test reports, and samples on any of it. For entry doors and vinyl windows we install ProVia, who publish a technical library at provia.com/professionals and a lookup tool that returns NFRC ratings for a specific configuration. For anything else we can usually get literature, but we would tell you we are chasing it rather than pretend it is on the shelf.

Can you provide samples for a client presentation?

Yes. Tell us what you need and where to send it.

Will you review a detail before bid?

Yes. Send the sheet and we will give you an honest read on constructability and cost impact.

Do you take design-build work?

Yes. How we come in depends on where you are. If the drawings are done, we price and build to them. If you are still designing, we would rather be in the room early — it is cheaper to solve a detail on the sheet than on site, and we can price options as you weigh them. Either way the design stays yours. We are not looking to take the project over.
